BAGG Engineers maintains an accredited laboratory that performs engineering tests on soils, aggregates, concrete and steel. Our certified technicians conduct tests in accordance with ASTM, CalTrans, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), and other appropriate laboratory standards.
BAGG’s laboratory is certified by: DSA, CCRL, AASTHO, CalTrans, to local County and City agencies including the City of Los Angeles.
Our laboratory has the Division of the State Architect (DSA) acceptance for construction material testing and inspection services.
DSA acceptance enables us to provide testing and inspection services for public schools, community colleges, state-owned or essential service buildings.
The BAGG’s laboratory is CalTrans accredited for aggregate, soils and concrete sampling/ testing for CalTrans projects and/or local construction projects for the National Highway System.
Our laboratory technicians and engineers work closely with our special inspections team within the firm.
When needed, special or unusual tests are subcontracted to other laboratories all of which are accepted by the Division of the State Architect, CalTrans, AASHTO, and the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL).
Chemical and analytical tests of soil and water are subcontracted to state-approved laboratories that specialize in chemical/analytical testing.
